Closing date for submissions: 30 November 2018 (5 pm CAT)
We do not accept multiple submissions, except for poetry where up to three poems are allowed per submission.
We will endeavour to receipt of submission within 72 hours and notify successful submissions four weeks after the closing date, if you have not been contacted within that time, please accept that your submission was not successful. If there is a delay in the decision-making process, the editor will contact entrants directly. Unfortunately, she cannot make comments on individual submissions.
We accept the following:
- short stories (4000 – 6000 words)
- poetry (any length – maximum three per submission)
- excerpts from unpublished novels (maximum 4000 words – not in line with the theme )
- memoirs (maximum 4000 words)

Entries must be sent in a document (MS Word .doc or .docx) attached to an email (NOT pasted into the body of an email). No PDF.
Entrants must be South African citizens.
Successful entries will be remunerated according to the payment guidelines that will be made available to the chosen entrants. A complimentary copy of The Coinage Book Two will be sent to published entrants.
